A strong woman looks a challenge in the eye and gives it a wink
— Gina Carey

In high school Emma performed in every form of art she could get her hands on! She did theatre, performed with the marching band, concert band, jazz band, acapella choir, concert choir, and even the orchestra for a semester so she truly understands all type of music. When she came to college she couldn’t fully perform all elements but continued to consume and write for all styles of music.

In terms of theatre, her jack of all trades persona persists! She has been cast in lead roles in musicals, comedic plays, dramatic plays, Shakespearean plays, and smaller roles in operas.

Some of her highlights so far are playing Dolly in Hello Dolly in high school, creating and running a theatre camp for children in her community, being a radio personality for Wildcat 91.9, performing as a female tenor with the Kansas City Symphony in 2022, meeting and performing with such prolific composers such as Owain Park, and organizing her senior composition recital with 24 peer musicians which drew a crowd of 120!
